Hi, our names are Emily & Jake Mitchum! We live in Jax Beach with our puppy, Kona, and are living out our dream of doing what we love full-time! We're expecting our first baby girl in March, and are so excited!

We feel so grateful everyday to call this our job. When you trust us to capture your big life moments, we don't take it lightly!

We got married in April 2023, and our wedding was truly the most "Us" day ever. Our day was full of bright Spring colors, wildflowers, and dancing in the rain. The morning of our wedding consisted of surfing and building our bouquets out of Trader Joes wildflowers. We did a private first look on a porch swing overlooking the river, and then the bridal party hung out before the ceremony while Jake played us guitar. We got married under a 500 year old oak tree surrounded by everyone we love the most. We were standing in a moment that had been prayed over for 8 years filled with so much gratitude. We were able to go to our cocktail hour and get all of our hugs in before we moved into our reception. We laughed and cried through our dances, tacos, and speeches just in awe of having all of our favorite people under one small roof. As soon as the speeches were over, the rain came and the party started. Rather than huddling under the pavilion, our friends and family went out and all danced in the rain barefoot. It felt straight out of a movie as we all embraced the wet hair and muddy feet. It was so imperfectly perfect. We didn't do the formal garter toss, bouquet toss, or cake cutting. We were too busy dancing, completely caught up in the moment that would turn into our favorite memory. We exited in an old jeep, the same model that Jake picked me up in for our first date in back in 2015.

We say this to remind you as you're planning your wedding that your day should be what YOU want! Don't get caught up in what's trending on Pinterest or what will make the best Instagram photos. As your photographers, this is why it's so important to us to get to know you for you. We want to hear about the things that are most important to you, so we can fully support you on your wedding day and help make it the best day of your lives, just as it was for us. Looking back on our wedding day, we don't remember it as just a photo shoot, full of poses and scripted moments. Our photographer was able to be a fly on the wall, and our photos turned out more amazing than we could have ever imagined! We want the same experience for our clients.

JESUS! We attend Eleven22 and are so thankful for the community we've found here in Jax.

SURFING! Jake spends all of his free time in the ocean or at the skate park. I enjoy the long beach days watching with my camera.

KONA! We have an Australian shepherd, so he keeps us busy with e-bike rides and walks on the beach.

FRIENDS! Our best friends are also our neighbors, so we do everything together and love it.

FAMILY! Our families live in GA, and we visit them as much as we can. We love being aunt & uncle to our sweet nieces!

TRAVELING! Last year, we were able to go to Costa Rica and Puerto Rico together, and we decided we want to always prioritize traveling because we both love it so much!
